Goalie Goal Alert: Ducks prospect Durny fires it home!

With just 30 seconds left in the third period of a one goal lead last night, Des Moines Buccaneers goaltender Roman Durny corralled the puck behind his net, lifted his head for just a moment and then FIRED the puck the length of the ice and into a yawning cage.

The 20 year old goaltender is a prospect of the Anaheim Ducks organization after being selected in the 5th round (147th overall) in this past June’s 2018 NHL Entry Draft. In 22 games with Des Moines of the USHL, the Slovakian native has a stellar 15-6-1 record with a 2.48 goals against average and .917 save percentage.
