The Minnesota Wild suffered a large number of injuries to their group of forwards on Thursday night during their 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

All in all  the Wild saw Marcus FolignoNino Niederreiter and Charlie Coyle all head back to the locker room during that game, and at least two of the three will miss the Wild's next game on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

There is a silver lining for the Wild however, as the huge number of injuries will force head coach Bruce Boudreau to bring one of Minnesota's most promising young prospects to the National Hockey League earlier than expected.

According to Wild insider Mike Russo, the organization has called up 19-year-old center Luke Kunin and furthermore Russo is reporting that Kunin will make his NHL debut tomorrow.

Kunin captained the 2017 United States junior team to a IIHF World Championship Gold Medal win, so naturally there has been a ton of excitement about his future in the NHL.
