The Las Vegas Golden Knights may have the very best social media team in the National Hockey League, and on Wednesday it was the Montreal Canadiens who learned that the hard way.
The whole thing began when a Twitter user decided to take a shot at the Golden Knights using the Montreal Canadiens legacy of Stanley Cup Championships, prompting a swift response from the Knights social media team.
The Canadiens then decided they would get in the mix, congratulating the Golden Knights on their accomplishment in very condescending fashion, something that proved to be a big mistake.
A mistake because the response from the Golden Knights was that much better.
