Gotta See It: Injured Johansen brings down the house in Nashville
Keystone Press

When NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly awarded the Clarence Cambell Trophy to the Nashville Predators as Western Conference Champions, the assembled crowd at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville rose to their feet and applauded. The team crowded around the award for a team photo, but someone was missing from the group.

That’s right, injured centerman Ryan Johansen limped out onto the ice in crutches to take part in the historic moment and the Preds fans lost their minds. It was an awesome moment from a team and a fanbase that have captured the attention of the entire NHL.

Whatever fate awaits the Preds in the Stanley Cup Final remains to be seen, but there’s no denying the passion and commitment of the team’s fanbase this postseason.
