Last night’s 4-3 overtime victory for the Anaheim Ducks over the Edmonton Oilers can easily be described with one word: unbelievable. Despite being badly outshot and the Oilers managed to hold a 3-0 lead with just over 3 minutes remaining in regulation time. Then…right on cue the Ducks started scoring.

First up was the captain Ryan Getzlaf, then Cam Fowler’s first of the postseason brought the Ducks within one. Then…with the entire city of Edmonton holding their breath, breakout star Rickard Rakell tied the game with just 15 seconds remaining. The reaction from Oilers general manager Pete Chiarelli perfectly summed up the sentiment of Oilers fans.

What’s Chiarelli thinking in that moment? How in the Hell did this happen? You have to feel sorry for both the Chiarelli and his team, that’s a tough pill to swallow. Unfortunately, the evening turned even worse for them when Corey Perry potted the game winner for the Ducks in double overtime. Ouch…double ouch.
