Gotta See It: PK Subban addresses media in a way that ONLY he can

Nashville Predators defenseman PK Subban is noted for his flashy, on-ice game and, on occasion, that flair has translated off-ice to his wardrobe. This morning, however, Subban addressed the assembled media in Nashville following practice adorned in something truly unique.

Yes, a chapeau. Not quite a top hat, DEFINITELY not a cowboy hat, but a sharp hat nonetheless. Subban’s off-ice style has received considerable attention throughout the years, but so far these playoffs it’s been his on-ice performance getting his name in the headlines.

The 28 year-old blue liner has eight points in 13 playoff games for the Preds this postseason, on top of 10 goals and 40 points in the regular season. Since arriving from the Montreal Canadiens in a blockbuster trade for former Preds captain Shea Weber, Subban has electrified the Nashville fanbase with big plays, big goals and big hits. He’s taken his game to the next level this playoffs alongside regular partner Mattias Ekholm. With his team holding a 2-1 advantage over the Anaheim Ducks in the Western Conference Final, there’s a good chance that Subban’s style may be on display for a while to come.
