GOTTA SEE IT: Sens prospect scores GORGEOUS goal in QMJHL playoffs
Keystone Press

Step aside, Erik Karlsson. As if the Senators needed another stud on the blue line, it looks like blue chip prospect Thomas Chabot is ready to rival the Senators captain in terms of highlight heel ability.

Last night in a QMJHL playoff game against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, Chabot, the Saint John Sea Dogs assistant captain,  sliced his way through the center of the ice and capped off an incredible end-to-end rush by claiming his own rebound and sniping the puck top shelf. It was a goal so gorgeous, that it has to be seen in all its glory:

Get hyped Sens fans! There’s the potential of a Karlsson/Chabot pairing for next season. In the meantime, Chabot has torn up the QMJHL this season, producing 10 goals and 45 points in 34 games during the regular season. He’s carried his offensive flair into the postseason and leads all defensemen in playoff scoring with 16 points in 13 games.
