The Wings honored former owner Mike Ilitch, who passed away last Friday at the age of 87, with a touching tribute video before their game against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday. Zetterberg shared an interesting memory of him and Mr. I at a Tigers game: “It was at a Tigers game the year before I started playing here,” Zetterberg said. “When I signed my contract, they invited us to a game, and I met him and Mrs. I for the first time. You felt right away it was a special place and how they take care of their players and their families.”
