Two NHL legends will get to see their child star in a hockey movie as it turns out that The Great One Wayne Gretzky's son Trevor and Le Magnifique Mario Lemieux's daughter Alexa are starring together in an upcoming film.

According to Oilers insider Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal, Trevor and Alexa are taking part in a hockey themed movie untitled "Odd Man Rush" directed by Howard Baldwin. Alexa is currently a film student and will star with Trevor who was on the big screen with Mark Walhberg and Ronda Rousey this past summer in the movie "Mile 22".

"Odd Man Rush" is based on the book of the same name, written by Bill Keenan. It follows the story of Keenan’s life, from a scrappy 5-year-old with dreams of making it to the NHL all the way through his college career at Harvard.

The film is produced by Slater Brothers Entertainment. The Slater Brothers run the Hamilton International Film Festival and their father was legendary Colgate hockey coach Terry Slater.

It will be great to Gretzky and Lemieux together on the big screen - well, Trevor and Alexa that is.
