Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas has been the subject of controversy several times in recent weeks, and Tuesday night may have been the worst one yet.
During the Flyers match up with the New Jersey Devils Gudas delivered a completely unnecessary hit to the head of Devils' winger Bobby Farnham. Not only was the hit to Farnham's head, it was also very far away from the play and caught Farnham completely off guard.
Farnham, understandably, went down on the ice, right at the feet of the official who saw the entire exchange and immediately had his arm up, and eventually ejected Gudas from the contest.
