A classy move on a very sad day for the hockey world.

In case you missed the news earlier today, Hockey Hall of Famer and one of the true greats of the sport Dale Hawerchuk has passed away at just 57 years old.

Hawerchuk's son Eric made the news official by posting to his social media accounts.

The hockey world is obviously at a loss to describe emotions. Hawerchuk is one of the all-time greats of the sport and, by all accounts, was an incredible human being and a very talented coach, as well. To lose a man who has had such a tremendous impact on the sport... there are no words. In that fashion, the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers elected to hold a moment of silence in Hawerchuk's honour prior to the start of Game 4 of their opening round Stanley Cup Playoff series.

RIP, Ducky. Gone, but never forgotten.
