Habs and Kings getting ready to make another trade?!

The Montreal Canadiens acquired centre Nate Thompson and a fifth-round pick in 2019 from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2019 on Monday, and it seems like the two teams could partnered up once again on the trade market.

Thompson made his Habs' debut last night in the Canadiens' 3-1 loss at the hands of the Predators in Nashville.

According to Jimmy Murphy, the Habs have been quite interested in forward Carl Hagelin, who has been struggling in Los Angeles since he was traded by the Pittsburgh Penguins earlier this season. Since he was moved to the Kings, he has tallied just five points in 20 games.

The fact that the Kings and Habs have made a deal just earlier this week could give Montreal the edge over the Boston Bruins, who have also asked about Hagelin.

The 30-year-old forward is known for his speed and would definitely into the style of play of the Canadiens.

Hagelin could benefit from another change of scenery and seeing that the dialogue has flown well between the Habs and Kings lately, we could potentially see another trade taking place between the two teams.

Stay tuned…
