Montreal Canadiens' captain Max Pacioretty has scored only one goal in his last 20 games and eight since the start of the season, on pace for a 17-goal campaign. This would be his worst production since the 2012-13 lockout-shortened season, when he scored 15 in 44 games.

And now it looks like the scoring problems of the 29-year-old forward are starting to weigh on him. According to RDS journalist Patrick Friolet, Pacioretty simply lost his temper after yesterday's morning skate. He says the #67 is extremely hard on himself, and that he has no idea why he isn't able to score:

Here's exactly what Patch said, as reported by Montreal Gazette columnist Stu Cowan:

I’ve never dealt with this before, so I have to just keep working hard and work my way through it because, like I said, I’ve never been through this before,” Pacioretty said after the Canadiens practised Friday afternoon at the Panthers Ice Den, where it was sunny outside and 26C. “The only way I’m going to get out of it is through hard work and doing the right things.”

Pacioretty added that he has the support of head coach Claude Julien, which truly helps:

It’s good,” Pacioretty said about his communication with Julien. “The past couple of days it’s been very good and that helps a lot. So I like where we’re at right now in terms of talking to each other and communication.”

Habs' captain has only 20 points in 38 games this year.
