Habs could find a way to get rid of Streit contract!

To no one surprise, Marc Bergevin could not find any taker when he tried to trade away 39 year old veteran Mark Streit yesterday before putting hiw on waivers.

Luckily for the Habs, they still might be able to get rid of his contract even though chances are slim to non he gets claimed today.

According to several sources, Streit could decide to return to Europe instead of reporting to the Laval Rocket, the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens.

That would give the option to both parties to void the contract altogether and let him fly back home free of any obligations.
