Habs management forced to change goal song following scandal?

After 4 years of being the official goal song of the Montreal Canadiens, song ''Le But'' from the band Loco Locass will no longer play at the Bell Center following a goal from the Habs.

That's what Biz, lead singer of the band, announced it himself on his Twitter account early last week.

But the real reason behind the decision may happen to be a public relation one to avoid being associated with a scandal. That's what Georges Laraque, ex-Habs player now radio analyst found out on the air of 91.9 Sports in Montreal today.

According to his sources, the decision to drop the song came after Habs management agreed to associate the team with a campaign against drunk drinving.

The link between the two decisions? Sébastien Ricard, one of the member of the band, was officially found guilty this summer of driving under the influence and lost his driving permit as a result. The Habs apparently wanted no part of that association and dropped the band.

What do you think of this decision? You can hear the song at the bottom. [pub]
