Hated NHL forward on the verge of making a comeback.

One of the most controversial players in the National Hockey League looks like he's on the road to making a comeback.

Despite not playing a single game this season, in part due to an insane 41 game suspension for repeatedly endangering the well-being of his fellow players, and in part due to an knee injury, Raffi Torres has been activated by the San Jose Sharks.

While as of this moment Torres is expected to report the the American Hockey League, based on the comments from Sharks head coach Peter Deboer, it sounds like he expects to have Torres back in the line up.

"We're proud of how hard Raffi has worked over the last four months to continue to rehab from his injury," said Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer as per NHL.com. "We know Raffi can be a very effective player for our team and this assignment will allow him to get back into game shape."

Some fans will likely be asking why he's even allowed to play again, after his latest suspension.
