Hawks complete the final step of their plan

The Chicago Blackhawks recalled forward Alex DeBrincat and defenseman Gustav Forsling on Wednesday. 

The two players had been assigned to Rockford on Tuesday.

The Hawks had a master plan in making these recents moves, since a bunch of paperwork designed to maximize the cap space flexibility that will afforded by placing Marian Hossa on long-term injured reserve.

By placing Michal Rozsival and Jordin Tootoo on LTIR now, GM Stan Bowman is allowed to go over the cap by a certain amount for the first day of the season.
