Hawks give Perlini permission to demand trade!

It seems like Brendan Perilini won’t be staying much longer with the Chicago Blackhawks.

According to NHL insider Bob McKenzie, the Blackhawks have given Perlini’s agent Darren Ferris permission to seek a trade for his client, as explained on last night’s edition of Insider Trading on TSN

“Darren Ferris has something else on his to-do list and that is to try and find a new home for his client Brendan Perlini of the Chicago Blackhawks. You may remember that Perlini came over to Chicago from Arizona along with Dylan Strome but he’s not been able to establish himself in Chicago and he’s only played one game so far this year – less than eight minutes – and so Ferris and the Blackhawks have agreed that they’re going to try and find a new home for him. Something to keep an eye on.”

It sounds like another change of scenery would be what’s best for Perlini once again. He scored 12 goals and 15 points in 46 games with the Haskes last season after being acquired with Strome from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Nick Schmaltz.

The 23-year-old did re-sign with the Blackhawks on a one-year contract worth $874,125 back in September, but the fit isn’t there it seems. As McKenzie pointed Perlini has only played once this season against the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 12.

We could have an imminent move coming to Chicago with everyone on the same page now…
