When a coach is saying stuff like this you know it's bad.

You know when a coach starts publicly calling out his players it's because he's on the hot seat, and in this case the decision to terminate Michel Therrien mayg have already been made, and the Habs may simply be waiting for the season to end.

The Habs head coach completely threw his star player, Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban, last night after the teams third consecutive loss on this trip, giving them a total of 0 out of a possible 6 points.

"PK did not play the odds on that play at the end... We need to play as a team," said Therrien as per Richard Labbe.

Therrien wasn't done there, he went on to reiterate the point and was even more critical of Subban the second time around, leaving no doubt that he was putting the blame entirely on Subban's shoulders.

"A selfish play that cost us the game tonight."

However if you look at the play, while Subban did create a turnover in the Avalanche zone, the Habs managed to back check on the play, and it was a defensive breakdown that led to eventual game winner.
