Henrik Lunqvist with arguably the best save of the season, one of his best ever.

It's almost too good to be true.

New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist showed off some ridiculous skill on Monday night.

During the third period of their match up against the Boston Bruins, Lundqvist made one of the best saves of the season, if not the the best, and arguably one of the best saves of his entire National Hockey League career.

Boston's Maxime Talbot likely believed he had a goal, he was staring at a nice big chunk of empty space after all, but Lundqvist reached out his leg to make the stop, leaving Talbot looking up at the sky in disbelief. What makes this save particularly insane is the fact that the outstretched leg of Lunqvist would not have been enough to make the save, as Talbot lifted the puck off the ice to send it over his extended pad. but Lunqvist in mid manoeuvre lifted his leg, and just barely caught the puck with the egde of his skate.

To make it even more impressive, the save kept the game tied at one, and would allow the Rangers to eventually win it 2-1 over Boston.
