The Detroit Red Wings suffered one of their most embarrassing defeats in recent memory on Saturday night when they were blown out in a 10 - 1 loss against the Montreal Canadiens.

While the Red Wings were on the road in one of the most raucous buildings in the National Hockey League, Montreal's Bell Center, losing by a nine goal differential is simply unacceptable.

One man who is acutely aware of that fact is Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg who made no secret about just how disgusted he was by the humiliating defeat. Zetterberg went so far as to say that the team not only embarrassed themselves, but everyone who had ever played for the organization.

"We basically embarrassed everyone that played with the winged wheel tonight, and we’ve got to live with that," said Zetterberg.

The Red Wings captain was so devastated that he hinted it may very well be the very worst moment of his entire National Hockey League career.

"I’ve played professional hockey for 20 years, I don’t think I’ve ever been a part of anything like what happened here tonight."
