Hextall talks Flyers trade rumors.

The hard work of general manager Ron Hextall has earned him something very rare for a Philadelphia Flyers general manager, flexibility.

With just over four million dollars in available cap space Hextall now has the ability to make some moves, and with the Flyers surging into playoff contention he may look to buy rather than sell this year.

"If we can improve our team in any way without mortgaging the future, we'll look at it," Hextall said Thursday as per Philly.com. "I mean, if young players can make us better, of course we'll look at it.

Flyers insider Sam Carchidi has speculated that the Flyers may look to add a forward, and that disgruntled Lightning winger Jonathan Drouin may be the target. However when Carchidi pressed Hextall on the subject he got a "no comment" from the tight-lipped GM.

"We're not supposed to talk about another team's players," Hextall said.

One thing is certain, if the Flyers continue winning things will get very interesting in Philadelphia.
