The singing of the Nation Anthem, be it ‘O Canada’ or ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’, prior to puck drop at a hockey game is one of the sport’s oldest traditions. It’s provides fans with a moment to stop what they’re doing and truly reflect on just how fortunate we are to live in a society where we can enjoy things like a hockey game. To pay tribute to the people who fought and continue to fight for our freedom.

Last night in Canton, Massachusetts just south of Boston, the in-arena PA system failed midway through the anthem, but that didn’t stop fans from ensuring that their patriotic duty was fulfilled.

Check out this video of the packed house absolutely NAILING The Star-Spangled Banner:

What a moment. Much respect to everyone in that crowd.
