The 2017 NHL Entry Draft in Chicago was one to remember. With the draft heading to the Windy City for the first time in its history, the host Blackhawks spared no expense and went to great lengths to entertain the hometown crowd. GM Stan Bowman pulled an audible at the draft podium and called upon Hawks superstars Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane to come announce their first round selection on behalf of the team.

Toews and Kane took to the stage, greeted the crowd and when it came time to make the pick, Kane managed to pronounce Henri Jokiharju’s name perfectly. In fact, hockey fans across the league should get used to pronouncing this kid’s name pretty quickly because he has all the tools to become a star at the NHL level. Just check out his highlight reel from the 2016-17 season in the WHL:

Silky smooth. The 18 year-old Finnish defenseman played for the Portland Winter Hawks last season, his first full season in North America, and produced nine goals and 48 points in 71 games. Look for him to take a major step next season in his age 19 year and be ready for him to push for a spot on the Hawks roster come 2018-19. Get hyped, Hawks fans.
