Ho-Sang: Learning From The Experienced

With reports of Connor McDavid being the favorite to be named the Edmonton Oilers’ captain at training camp, many have wondered if the 19-year-old is ready to assume a leadership role.

 

In the case of his long-time friend and New York Islanders’ prospect Josh Ho-Sang, McDavid’s advice on succeeding in the NHL demonstrated just that:

 

“I feel comfortable asking (McDavid) questions,” he told Sportsnet.

Ho-Sang made headlines for all of the wrong reasons, such as showing up late to the first day of training camp. He added that he speaks to Tyler Seguin regularly for insight:

“It comes from a place of wanting to learn, to take what they know and become more effective. I’m picking apart the mind of one of the best goal-scorers in the world.”
