While young forward Jonathan Drouin has certainly caused a great deal of post holiday excitement following his trade demand, one Hockey Night legend believes Drouin will regret making the decision.

Ron Maclean joined Sportsnet's Caroline Cameron and indicated that Jonathna Drouin may have earned himself a repurtation, or a stigma if you will, one that sticks to players who quit on their team and demand a trade, regardless of how legitimate their complaints are.

"I just think for Drouin the unfortunate part is that tag will follow him, and he will probably regret that."

Maclean pointed to a former National Hockey League player, who despite successfully demanding a trade, and even landing in a good sittuation after being dealt, always regretted the move for exactly the reason Maclean mentioned earlier, a stigma that followed him throughout his career.

Maclean wasn't talking about no slouch either, refering to none other than Russ Courtnall and his demand to be traded from the Canadiens.
