Hope For Quebec City

Cross your fingers, Quebec City. Your town might just be next in line to bring in an NHL franchise, according to The Score.

 

Deputy commissioner Bill Daly was in Quebec on Thursday to take in some World Cup of Hockey action at the brand new Videotron Centre and was evidently interrogated concerning a potential NHL return:

 

“I wish I knew. I was actually asked at customs (yesterday) whether I was coming to announce the Nordiques coming back… hopefully at some point in my career,” he told NHL.com.

 

While the Centre can certainly host an NHL team, economic reasons might explain why the City of Quebec was snubbed, given just how poorly the Canadian dollar has been performing lately.
