They will be pleased.

The Florida Panthers are one of the many teams that had to start the season with a few players on the injured reserve list. Prior to the season, the florida formation knew they would had to deal without Jonathan Huberdeau and Nick Bjugstad, two of their Top6 forwards.

While Huberdeau is a no-go for at least a few weeks, the Panthers had an hopeful sight this morning when the big-bodied Bjugstad took stride in the morning skate for the first time since his injury. Bjugstad who fractured his hand in an exhibition game isn't expected to make his season debut tonight against the Islanders but should return sooner than later. His situation is now day-to-day.

Nick Bjugstad had 34 points in 67 games last year while playing solid minutes on the penalty kill.
