Ever since Vancouver Canucks captain Henrik Sedin announced his retirement along with twin brother Daniel Sedin, Canucks fans have been counting down the days until Bo Horvat is finally named team captain. The 23 year old center is a born leader and aside from rookie superstar Elias Pettersson, he leads the Canucks in scoring yet again this season. The thing is, it’s not just Horvat’s on ice play that has him in the conversation to be the team’s next captain, it’s what he does off the ice as well.

Horvat is always the first Canucks player to meet with the media after games and leads by example in everything he does. Case in point, check out Horvat signing a stick for a brave young Canucks fan who braved the Boston Bruins crowd during warmups prior to tonight’s game in Boston:

How sweet is that!?

So what does he do for an encore? Goes out and snipes the game’s opening goal against Jaroslav Halak, of course:

Bo Horvat you absolute BEAUTY! A little bit of instant karma for Horvat and the Canucks. We love stories like this.
