The Bruins are hosting the Washington Capitals tonight. The B's overcame the Maple Leafs yesterday night in Toronto and will be looking for a second W in 24 hours against the Ovechkin bunch.

However, the Bruins suffered a tough blow ahead of this evening's matchup. The team announced on Twitter that one of their best players, Patrice Bergeron will be out for tonight's game through injury. This is bad news for the Bruins who rely on the Quebec-born centerman to play a lot of minutes and shutdown the very best opposing players while feeding his line mates, Pastrnak and Bergeron.

As Boston's injury struggles continue, Torey Krug was officially placed on the injury reserve by the Bruins today. Urho Vaakanainen will most lilkely stay in the lineup to fill Krug's spot.

David Krejci will be the one stepping up to replace Bergeron on the first line. Charlie coyle will pivot the second line, Sean Kuraly the second and Par Lindholm the 4th.

Jaroslav Halak should get the start this evening as Tuukka Rask rests after getting the win yesterday in Toronto.

Here is how the Bruins' should hit the ice tonight against the Caps according to the Boston Bruins' Twitter account:

Forwards:

Brad Marchand - David Krejci - David Pastrnak

Anders Bjork - Charlie Coyle - Danton Heinen

Joakim Nordstrom - Sean Kuraly - Chris Wagner

Trent Frederic - Par Lindholm - Paul Carey

Defensemen:

Zdeno Chara - Charlie McAvoy

Matt Grzelcyk - Brandon Carlo

Urho Vaakanainen - Connor Clifton

Goaltenders:

Jaroslav Halak

Tuukka Rask

Steven Kampfer will be the only healthy scratch for the Bruins. Meanwhile, John Moore (shoulder), Kevan Miller (knee), Karson Kuhlman (fractured right tibia), Brett Ritchie (upper body), David Backes (upper body), Jake DeBrusk (lower body), Torey Krug (upper body) and Zach Senyshyn (lower body) feature on an overflowing injury reserves list.

The Washington Capitals are coming off a tough 5-2 loss in Montreal yesterday and should come out hungry as Ovechkin and John Carlson look to stay red-hot. The badly depleted Bruins will definitely have their work cut out for them.

It should be a great game of hockey!
