A big hit on Monday night has led to an early injury.

The Florida Panthers unfortunately continued to watch their forwards drop like flies after a huge hit dropped Denis Malgin and would eventually force him to leave the ice once he recovered enough to regain his feet. 

The big hit was delivered by New Jersey Devil Pavel Zacha, who appeared to be attempting to cut off Malgin in the hopes of making a big physical play when the Panthers forward shifted his momentum resulting in an ugly hit along the boards. 

While this didn't look like I deliberate hit from behind from Zacha, he received a harsh penalty nonetheless and it would seem unlikely that he will receive anymore from Player Safety.
