Huge pending move coming to Montreal!

The Canadiens were handed an eight straight loss last night when they fell to the Edmonton Oilers, which prompted Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman to report that something significant was coming to Montreal. 

On the air of Sportsnet 590 on Friday morning, Friedman explained that while he can’t say if a coaching change with Claude Julien getting dismissed, a trade or GM Marc Bergevin getting fired was the move coming, he made sure to say he knew something big was coming shortly. 

“I see a team that something’s coming. I don’t know if it’s the coach, I don’t know if it’s a big trade…I just get the sense that’s a team that’s just drowning right now…”

Fans in Montreal want to see a significant change in the organization that has been struggling all season and hasn’t made the postseason since 2017. 

There is a sense of panic in Montreal as the playoff window gets smaller and smaller for the Canadiens. Insiders are starting to wonder if Bergevin will have a fire sale ahead of the trade deadline.

Or will he even be there to call the shots?
