There has already been a number of reports involving National Hockey League legend Jaromir Jagr of Tuesday.

First a Kontinental hockey League general manager admitted to being involved in negotiations with Jagr's representatives, and that rumor was quickly countered by a report from a Russianb hockey insider.

Now however we have a comment from the living legend himself, and it sounds like there is still at least a faint possibility that he will remain in the National Hockey League.

Jagr informed Igor Eronko of Sports Express that he is still in talks with a handful of teams, and only if that falls through will he consider leaving for Europe.

"There're 3-4 teams we talk to," said Jagr. "If I know for sure it's no NHL then I gonna look for something else in Europe'"

Jagr was asked whether or not he would consider a professional tryout offer from an NHL team, and he made it quite clear that he felt that would be an insult.

'I'm not gonna go for it. It's funny we talk about it. After 25 years they know what kind of player I am."

The question is now of course if one of those 3 or 4 teams will extend him a contract offer.
