Huge Vegas scout contingent in DC!

Las Vegas team is slowly building up and while there's so many uncertainties left about which players every 30 teams will protect, scouts still have to prepare their reports for the expansion draft.

Last night, one of the biggest scouts contingent was seen in Washington, DC as they came in a six-pack. The Capitals were facing the Detroit Red Wings and both teams have interesting depth on the blueline and Vegas could very much build their core from those 2 teams.

According to Jason Pothier who covers the soon-to-be-named team activities, Detroit most coveted/realistic defenseman would be Mike Green. While being a good d-man, he's carrying a 6M cap hit and could be one to let go when summer comes. Pothier also stated the Caps could be forced to free up Brooks Orpik and Dmitry Orlov, the latter is obviously the more interesting one and will be an RFA when the season ends.
