Hurricanes management issues a warning to fans before potential Game 4 sweep

After the New York Islanders swept the Pittsburgh Penguins in four games in the first round, it looks like now they could get swept by the Carolina Hurricanes tonight in Raleigh.

However, there is one issue.

Hurricanes fans, you need to keep your brooms at home.

The security staff at the PNC Arena was forced to send out a warning to any fans tonight planning to bring along a broom for tonight’s potential sweep.

The Hurricanes aren’t the only team to be told to keep brooms at home.

Back in the first round, the Columbus Blue Jackets staff also warned fans to come without brooms to the game when the team swept the President’s Trophy winning Tampa Bay Lightning at Nationwide Arena.

A bit of a buzz kill, but as long as the sweep takes place on the ice on Friday night, Canes fans will be happy.
