Tough choice...

The Boston Bruins host the Hurricanes for the first game of the Eastern Conference finals tonight, but Carolina remains secretive about its starting lineup.

Head coach Rob Brind’Amour did not reveal who will be his starting goalie for Game 1 tonight after the team’s morning skate. He also noted that he was hopeful that forward Micheal Ferland would play tonight but did not confirm if he was a sure go for the contest.

Petr Mrazek could be back for Game 1.  The netminder has been dealing with a lower-body injury after leaving Game 2 of the second-round series against the New York Islanders on April 28. The team initially listed Mrazek as day-to-day, but he practiced in the home net before the team left for Boston on Wednesday.

While Mrazek was sidelined, backup Curtis McElhinney started the next two games and made 54 saves on 58 shots to help the Hurricanes sweep the second-round series against the Islanders and advance to the conference final for the first time since 2009.

We can understand the tough choice for coach Brind’Amour…

Here is a look at the projected lineup for the Canes based on the latest practices:

Andrei Svechnikov - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen
Nino Niederreiter - Jordan Staal - Justin Williams
Warren Foegele - Lucas Wallmark - Brock McGinn
Jordan Martinook - Greg McKegg - Micheal Ferland

Jaccob Slavin - Dougie Hamilton
Brett Pesce - Justin Faulk
Haydn Fleury - Calvin de Haan
