Hurricanes release new t-shirts to mock Don Cherry!

National Hockey League legend Don Cherry may have met his match.

On Saturday Cherry went off on the Hurricanes following yet another unique post game celebration from the Hurricanes players in front of their home crowd. Although the post game antics have garnered the Hurricanes a ton of positive press coverage there have been those who have been critical of the way the Hurricanes have behaved, and it became clear on Coaches' Corner that Cherry was among those who were very much against the celebrations from the Hurricanes.

Cherry absolutely went off on the Hurricanes post game celebrations during Coaches' Corner on Saturday and to say that he buried the Hurricanes would probably be the understatement of the year.  Cherry was beside himself in outrage and was even more shocked that all of this was allowed to happen under the guise of former National Hockey League star Rod Brind'Amour, a man Cherry refereed to as a straight shooter and the current head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes. Whether or not you agree with Cherry probably really doesn't matter as I imagine at his current age he has pretty much made his mind up and will not be changing it for anyone. The Hurricanes however were not about to take things laying down however and they were relatively quick to fire back and the grump former head coach. The Hurricanes released a brilliant Simpsons themed meme that did a great job of encapsulating how many Don Cherry haters feel about that man. 

That could have been the end of it right there but it seems like the Hurricanes haven't quite had enough yet and now they have taken yet another shot at Cherry, this time by releasing some merchandise in honor of the rant that he went off on during Coaches Corner. Through a post on social media the Hurricanes revealed their new "Bunch of Jerks" t-shirts, shirts that very much embrace one of the derogatory statements Cherry made about their roster of players. 

While this may seem like a joke, I assure you it's not, the Hurricanes very much plan to release these shirts coming next week.
