ICYMI: Blues teammates get into fight during practice

Things are getting UGLY in St. Louis. After making a big splash this past offseason, many NHL fans and analysts predicted that the St. Louis Blues would take a big step forward in 2018-19. But nearly 30 games into the season the Blues sit near the bottom of the NHL’s overall standings with just 10 wins in their first 28 games. Clearly that’s not good enough…

What’s even worse is Sunday night the team put forth an embarrassing effort on home ice against another struggling club, the Vancouver Canucks. The veteran laden and seemingly playoff hopeful Blues dropped a 6-1 decision to the young Canucks and were embarrassed by Canucks rookie Elias Pettersson, who put up five points on the night. The Blues were booed off the ice and sounded utterly crushed in post game interviews.

Flash forward to this morning and the Blues are back on the ice, but rather than putting their best foot forward, the team seems to be showing even more signs of cracking. Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo absolutely mugged forward Zach Sanford during practice this morning and we have video of the transgression.

Check it out:

Yeah… that’s probably not going to help your team turn things around, boys. Maybe try winning a hockey game and you won’t be forced to take out your frustration on teammates? Just a thought…
