In case you missed it, the Philadelphia Flyers and Dallas Stars have hooked up on a deal with forwards Tyler Pitlick and Ryan Hartman changing locales.

Check it out:

Interestingly enough, it was was Hartman along with a 4th round pick that the Flyers acquired from the Nashville Predators in exchange for Flyers fan favorite Wayne Simmonds. In effect, this makes the return for Simmonds a 27 year old fringe NHL/AHL player and a 4th round pick.

Pitlick, a former 2nd round pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft put up eight goals and 12 points in 47 games for the Stars last year and put up a career high 14 goals and 27 points in 80 games in 2017-18.

As for Hartman, the former 1st round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has bounced around the past while and will suit up for his third team in just two years. His one year, $875,000 contract expires on June 30th, but he’s still under team control as a restricted free agent. He managed just 12 goals and 26 points in 83 games split between the Predators and Flyers last season.
