In case you missed it yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs and St. Louis Blues  hooked up on a trade of defensemen with Jordan Schmaltz and Andreas Borgman swapping locales.

Check it out:

Schmaltz, a 25 year old defenseman, collected two assists in 20 regular season games with the Blues last season and recorded nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 36 games with the American Hockey League’s San Antonio Rampage. The Madison, Wisconsin native has registered five assists in 42 career NHL games and 93 points (15 goals, 78 assists) in 180 career AHL games.

Whereas Borgman, a 24 year old defenseman, collected 17 points in 43 games with the Leafs’ AHL afilliate Toronto Marlies this past season.
