ICYMI: Wilson pummels Oleksiak, Ovechkin and Crosby go at it between the benches

In case you missed it, last night’s rivalry game between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins started with a bang!

Just a minute into the game Caps instigator Tom Wilson dropped the gloves with Penguins giant Jamie Oleksiak and Wilson absolutely DUMMIED Oleksiak, sending him into another dimension.

Oleksiak managed to get just one shot in before Wilson came back with about four HARD right hands, sending Oleksiak to the ice in a heap. The 6 foot, 7 inch tall blue liner would need to be helped off the ice. 

Meanwhile, captains Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby went at it between the benches, with Ovi calling out Sid and challenging him to a fight.

In the end it was Crosby and the Penguins who’d have the last laugh though as they’d prevail with a 2-1 road victory. Ovechkin, of course, was none to happy with the loss and with having his career high 14 game point streak snapped.
