An original-six matchup is underway tonight when the Boston Bruins host the Detroit Red Wings at the TD Gardens. Whenever those two teams meet, all of us know we’re in for a treat of a hockey game.
A few stories to follow tonight:
Zach Senyshyn makes his NHL debut. Picked 15th in the 2015 draft, he’s an agile skater with a precise shot and great offensive awareness. Great to see a prospect play, knowing in a few years he’ll be on the official roster.
Malcolm Subban will also be guarding the net, and that after recovering from a season-ending throat injury. He will be backed by Daniel Vladar, who performed well when replacing Subban.
Jeremy Lauzon, the offensive-minded defenseman the Bruins desperately need on the blue line, could see action on the power play.
