Injured Preds stars Johansen receives major honor from city of Nashville

The Nashville Predators are the toast of Music City these days. The city is adorned with yellow, the shops are sold out of catfish and country stars are playing free concerts all over town. It makes sense then, that the city of Nashville would hand over the keys to one of their own.

So, in an act of true fan support, Nashville’s Mayor Megan Berry bestowed Preds forward Ryan Johansen with the title of Honorary Mayor for the day!

How cool is that? Johansen even gave an impromptu speech as the city’s new mayor, but judging from his lack of civic experience we don’t expect any sweeping changes in Nashville under his leadership.
