Banged Up Bruins Suffer Another Devastating Injury

Boston Bruins forward Frank Vatrano left Boston’s TD Garden arena in a walking boot with an apparent foot injury following the team’s 1-0 game 4 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday evening.

The team haven’t officially announced his injury, but it’s expected that he’ll be out of the lineup for tonight’s pivotal game 5 matchup. If this is in fact the case, Vatrano will join an injury riddled crew in the press box that includes Torey Krug, Brandon Carlo and Adam McQuaid as well.

Bruins fans may remember that this is not the first time Vatrano has suffered a foot injury this season. He missed the team’s first 34 games of the 2016-17 season after having offseason surgery to repair torn ligaments in his foot. It’s unclear whether this new injury is a re-aggravation of his former injury, or a new one entirely, but regardless it has to concern Bruins fans.

Despite having just one goal in four playoff games, Vatrano had 10 goals and 18 points in 44 regular season games with the Bruins this year and will be counted on to be an offensive contributor moving forward.
