When Ottawa Senators forward Alex Burrows fell to the ice midway through game three of the Eastern Conference Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins, it was clear he was injured. While head coach Guy Boucher has been tight-lipped about Burrows’ stats for game four, reports from this morning’s skate indicate that he may not be in the lineup.

Ottawa Sun reporter Bruce Garrioch noted earlier today that Burrows was not on the ice this morning with his teammates, and in fact may not play this evening against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

If this is the case, Boucher will need to find a replacement for the 36 year-old on the team’s third line with Kyle Turris and Mike Hoffman. Look for one of Chris Neil, Tommy Wingels or Chris Kelly to slot into the lineup in Burrows’ place.
