Calder Trophy Contender Has Been Injured Last Night

Toronto Maple Leafs rookie forward Mitch Marner has been injured last night after hitting the board heavily. Mitch Marner exited the game on Wednesday 5-2 loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets soon after he crashed the board.

The play happened after Marner seemed to get tripped up on Jenner and went down before slamming into the boards. The loss of Marner could definitely compromise the Toronto Maple Leafs’ chances to participate in the playoffs. Take a closer look at what happened to Marner.

From now on, coach Babcock did not give any more details on Marner’s situation as he will be re-evaluated today by the Leafs' medical staff.

More update to come as it flows.
