According to a report from Sarah McLellan of the Star-Tribune, the Minnesota Wild have activated forward Charlie Coyle off of the injury reserve. The big, 25-year-old center has played just four games this season, putting up two assists. Big things are expected from Coyle this season after he broke out with 18 goals and 56 points last season.

It’s expected that Coyle will be back in the Wild’s lineup sometime this week. “Don’t know if it’s tonight, tomorrow or the weekend,” coach Bruce Boudreau said of Coyle. “But he’s a big strong guy that is healing quite quickly.”

In other injury news, the Wild have officially placed assistant captain Zach Parise onto long-term injury reserve, dating back to Oct 24th.
