Injury Report: FINALLY some good news for the Wild
Keystone Press

According to a report from The Athletic’s Michael Russo, the Minnesota Wild could receive some help from the injured reserve for tomorrow’s game against the Winnipeg Jets. Injured forwards Mikael Granlund and Marcus Foligno are expected to practice with the Wild today in St. Paul before the team leaves for a two game western road trip against the Jets and Calgary Flames.

It’s expected that Foligno will play with a cage following a facial fracture as a result of a fight with Chicago Blackhawks rookie John Hayden. As for Granlund, he hasn’t been ruled out of action for the road trip, but the team is being understandably cautious with the team’s leading scorer from a year prior.

The Wild have gotten off to a dreadful 1-1-2 start to begin the 2017-18 season, but the additions of Granlund and Foligno should help stop the bleeding in Minnesota.
