Injury report: Important update on Malkin's health

The Pittsburgh Penguins are on the road Friday as they take on the Boston Bruins, and it will be without the services of star centerman Evgeni Malkin, who will miss another game due to an upper-body injury.

As per head coach Mike Sullivan, Malkin won't travel with the team, but he hasn't been ruled out for Saturday's match at home versus the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Malkin has a consistent history of suffering serious injuries - hopefully this one is minor and he finds his way back into the lineup. The Penguins aren't off to their best start a quarter way through the season, and if they have any hope of a three-peat, Malkin will need to be at 100%.
