Following last night;s 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan offered up a “no update” update for reporters on hand concerning injuries to a trio of Pens players.

Goaltender Tristan Jarry appeared to suffer a cut on his right wrist after stretching out to make a save on Flyers forward Michal Raffl. Jarry would stay in the game for the time being, but ultimately left for the beginning of the third period, with starter Matt Murray taking over the crease.

As for Carter Rowney, he left in the first period and did not return. Brian Dumoulin took a puck to the head in the second period, he left the game immediately only to return and then subsequently sit out the third period, as well.

While the Penguins managed to get defensemen Kris Letang and Justin Schultz back from injury last night, they can hardly afford to lose any more players to injury. If last night’s injuries to Jarry, Dumoulin and Rowney end up costing the players’ some time, don’t be surprised if GM Jim Rutherford gets forced into making a move.
